Moeseth, the developer behind the popular TwitkaFly jailbreak tweak, which was recently updated with iOS 6 support, has just launched QuickReply for Messenger with iOS 6 support. QuickReply for Messenger is an easy way to quickly reply to messages that come through the popular Facebook Messenger application from the App Store.
By tapping on an incoming Facebook Messenger notification after the tweak in installed and set up, the user will get the interface above that lets them input their reply message and send it off to the recipient. Alternatively, the user can tap on Cancel to close the interface, or tap on Open to open the Facebook Messenger application completely.
The quick reply functionality is usable on the lock screen, the home screen, and from within applications you may have opened up.
The tweak also adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where the user will link their Facebook account to the tweak and enable or disable the Quick Reply feature on the fly. The user can pick between two application icon choices on the Notifications, and then choose the sound that will be played when the message you’ve sent to someone has been successfully delivered:
QuickReply for Messenger 6.0+ is available in Cydia’s BigBoss repository for $1.99 and includes a three-day free trial so you can try out its features. It is a separate tweak from the iOS 5 version of QuickReply for Messenger.
